Project Description
Brisas Hospicio (Brisas Hospice) provides home care services for people with terminal illnesses with a life expectancy of six months or less. These services are covered by Medicare Part A for all age groups, including children, adults and the elderly, during the final stages of their life.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THESE BENEFITS?
Patients are eligible for hospice care when:
A doctor (if they have one) and the medical director of hospice care certify that the patient is terminally ill and that he/she probably has less than six months to live.
The patient signs an agreement choosing hospice care instead of the ordinary benefits for his terminal illness.
